Training

Broxbourne Sailing Club is an RYA Recognised Training Centre. We run a full program of Youth and Adult RYA courses, from April through to October, together with Power Boat 2 courses. There is no requirement to be  member of BSC to enrol on the any of the courses, but there are various benefits including mentoring and follow-on sailing opportunities 

There are two different routes to gain RYA Accreditation at our RYA Training Centre, available for both Adult and Youth. These have a fee and are discounted for our BSC Members. 

1) Rolling Saturday mornings from 9am to 12pm

2) Intensive Courses over 2 days (usually Saturdays) 

Your sessions will be run by RYA qualified instructors assisted by experienced club sailors.

Additionally we run Coaching Sessions on Saturday mornings for BSC members, to develop the skills learnt on the RYA courses and become better sailors, in readiness to participate in the club's racing program. These coaching sessions are run under the leadership one of our Senior Instructors. 

If you are a new first time sailor, come along for a taster session, or for those returning to sailing we train and coach you to get you ready to get back on the water.
