This will be our first open day of this year and we hope the sun will be kind to us. We need as many club members to come and help as possible and bring your friends and families with you. They can have a go at sailing for free and may find they love it here as much as we do. We\'ll have Oppys out for the children, a mixture of other dinghys for every type of sailor and don\'t feel left out if you are less able bodied, we have special boats for you too! We have something for everyone. It might be an idea to bring a change of clothing and something like trainers to wear for sailing. Refreshments are available. Everybody welcome. Gates open at 11am

Well done to Laura Mecham and her team for a fantastic Pretty In Pink Party on Saturday night. It was supported by a number of club members and enjoyed by all. About £2500 was raised to fight Breast Cancer by ticket sales, a raffle, an auction, a cup cake sale (Mmm!) and a shot bar. Thank you to anyone who helped or supported this event.

A big thank you to everyone who helped with the Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday. The compound looked more like a wildlife park than a sailing club. What a nice day!

 We ask that you do not use the new wooden decked frontage to launch or retrieve your boat over. Please use the slipways or the concrete only frontage to launch and retrieve your boats. For obvious reasons we don't want to damage our fantastic new facility.

We are running an RYA Laser/Streaker course on 31st March. The cost will be £5 and will include lunch. Please let Brian know if you would like to take part so that he can monitor how many people will be there.

An evening of fun was had by all the 47 people who took part in the first quiz night of this year. Junior and senior members supported each other in this battle of the brains with our quiz master Steve being so mentally exhausted by it he didn\'t turn up on Sunday! We fed this massive pool of knowledge with pie and mash to keep them in tip top form and kept them buzzing with a big supply of sweets. The final winners were the \'Big Team\' Well done. A big thank you to Paula, our social secretary, and all the people who helped to put on this event.

The level 2 power boat refresher course planned for Saturday 24th March has been postponed until a later date.

Our first Quiz Night of 2012 will be on Saturday 17th March at 7.30. £5 per head includes a meal. Teams can be between 2 and 6. A child in your team could prove very useful!
