Directions to the club

The access from most of Essex, Hertfordshire, London and beyond is really quite good with large dual carriageway roads bringing you to within 3 miles of BSC.

Show/hide iconFrom M25 (South of England)

Take Junction 25 signposted Enfield and Cheshunt. Take the A10 towards Cheshunt and Waltham Cross.Go straight over the first large roundabout, and continue, passing two sets of junctions both controlled by traffic lights. As the speed limit changes from 40mph to national, you should see Tesco and Marks and Spencer (Brookfield Farm) to your left, after another 1/3 of a mile, take the junction signposted to Broxbourne. At the next roundabout take the first exit towards Broxbourne (A1170) follow this road for about 1.5 miles, until you come to a set of traffic lights just passed The Bull pub and Broxbourne Car Centre. Turn right towards Broxbourne Station (B194). Continue along this road for another 1.5 miles until you come to a crossroads that are traffic light controlled.

Turn left onto North street. Follow the road until you reach the third fork in the road (just after national speed limit comes into place - 200m) and turn into Meadgate Road - The sailing club is signposted here. Continue along this road, and you will see the sailing club on the right, watch out for the potholes! We look forward to seeing you.

Take Junction 7 signposted for Harlow and Epping. Take the A414 until you reach the next roundabout (Larkswood Roundabout). Take the 1st exit signposted to Roydon (A1169). Continue along this road, passing Staple Tye Shopping Centre (At both mini roundabouts go straight ahead). When you reach a large roundabout go straight ahead (1st exit, signposted for Nazeing).

Just beyond this is another roundabout, take the second exit. About 1/2 a mile after this, there is one final roundabout. Take the second exit (sign posted to Nazeing and Dobbs Weir). Continue along this road for about 2 miles.

Pass Tyndalls Garden Centre on your left, and turn right down Meadgate road, on the bend. The sailing club is signposted here. Continue along this road, and you will see the sailing club on the right, watch out for the potholes! We look forward to seeing you.

Show/hide iconFrom A10 (North of England avoiding M25)

Take the A10 exit at Hoddesdon. At the roundabout with the Sun pub, take the 2nd exit (straight over). At the next roundabout, take 1st exit, towards Dobbs Weir. Go over the new fly-over (traffic light controlled), and take the third exit at the roundabout, past the power station (on your right). Continue along this road, and over a narrow bridge (traffic light controlled). Further on, you will see the lake on your right. At the end of the road, turn right. Continue along this road for about 0.5 miles.
